From mindfulness apps to YouTube gurus, you can find meditations at a click. But how effective is that? It’ll get you started, perhaps, but you’ll soon hit a glass ceiling. You need to learn meditation from teachers that you can get to know, as part of an established tradition, and with community. You need to learn meditation in context.
By doing so, you will discover that meditation is not just something we do on our own, with our eyes closed. It’s about cultivating a new attitude to life. It’s about building a stronger sense of a shared life. It’s clear that the world needs people who can help to positively change it. To help change the world, you need to change yourself. You need to become the change you want to see.
To make progress on this path of transformation, we challenge you to:
- Meditate every day for 4 weeks
- Join 4 Meditation Masterclasses with Amalayodhin
- Come to the centre as much as you can either on our Tuesday or Friday night classes during the month of January.
Meditation masterclasses will take place on Tuesday evenings 8 - 9.45 and Friday evenings 7 - 9.15 starting Tuesday 6th January and ending Friday 30th January. Come to one or both classes each week!
To complete the meditation challenge you can book on to our first Buddhism and Meditation Weekend Retreat 6 - 8th February.
